Our History
Laurie Bushouse started Alpha Delivery Services in 1982 in the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek area. In its beginnings, Alpha acted as an agent for DHL, opening up the state of Michigan for the international logistics and delivery company. Initially, DHL was Alpha Delivery's sole client. Yet as Bushouse found success in establishing DHL operations in Detroit, Jackson, Lansing, and Grand Rapids, she was also attracting additional clients from the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek area for same-day deliveries.
Same-day delivery service has always been the mission of Bushouse and Alpha Delivery Services. As DHL's operations in Michigan grew to justify sending in its own full-time staff for operations, Alpha's client list for same-day delivery service also grew.
Today, Alpha Delivery Services is owned by Devon Bushouse, the second Bushouse generation to run the business. Alpha remains based in Kalamazoo but makes pickups and deliveries from most of lower Michigan, northern Indiana, and the Chicago area. Alpha is a full-service delivery company for commercial and industrial clients. It provides routed pickup and deliveries in the Kalamazoo area and 24-hour emergency delivery throughout its service region.
Alpha Delivery also offers same-day delivery for medical, legal, commercial, and industrial clients.
